St. Petersburg Program at Pavlovsk -> Accomodations/Cost/Getting There

The town of Pushkin (Tsarskoye Selo), one of the loveliest suburbs of St. Petersburg, lies about 20 km from the city (15 km from the international airport Pulkovo). The town boasts magnificent palaces and park ensembles. This should cause no surprise since from the middle of the 18th century it was the summer residence of Russian tsars.

Your accommodations will be provided in the mansion of Prince V.P. Kochubey - chief master of ceremonies at the Russian Imperial court. It is one of the most beautiful palaces in Pushkin / Tsarskoye Selo. Built between 1911 and 1913 and designed by architects A.I. Tamanyan and N.E. Lancere, the mansion reflects the style of late classicism found in Russian country homes. Natural and faux marble, various kinds of wood, and wall paintings were used for the palace decoration.
